Systematic Theology

 

This is the second course package of your studies in Theology. Upon successful completion of the first course package on Biblical Theology, you will now study Christian Doctrine as a system of Christian Creed. There are three areas of concentration in this package which you will find listed and outlined below.

 

Instructions for Study: Complete the study of the three subject areas given below and the texts in the given order. This is absolutely mandatory and should be strictly followed.

I.                            Dogmatics

 

Dogmatics deals with the system and the presentation of Christian Creed as a closed and systematised set of doctrines in particular. The exams included for this subject area are included in the course file 1 below. Upon successful completion of the exam, you will be awarded 2 semester credit hours. Send your written work to our Institute for grading.

II.                          Christian Ethics

 

Christian Ethics is about the way we should live as Christians in terms of morale and ethical values. In the protestant church tradition, it forms the second important area in Systematic Theology. The exams are included in the course package. Upon successful completion of the exam, you will be awarded 2 semester hours credits.  For further details, please click HERE.

 

 

III.                      Dogmatic History

 

The Christian Creed has a history of development; and in this third section, we will deal with the historical circumstances under which this doctrine developed, how certain details of it were dealt with in the Early Church and how the Christian Creed finally was shaped as a system. For this course, you will be awarded 5 semester hour credits upon successful completion of the exam. If you feel ready for the exam, please contact our Institute for requesting the exam file.
